About Poverty Solutions

Poverty Solutions, based on the book Scarcity: The New Science of Having Less and How it Defines Our Lives by Sendhil Mullainathan and Eldar Shafir, is an interactive and highly engaging training. The objective of this three-hour training is to improve interaction between staff and clients who have different life perspectives resulting in more effective communication, improved outcomes of the mission, improved interpersonal relationships, decreased cultural gaps, build relationships of mutual respect, determine if programs and procedures of the organization are helping clients get ahead or enabling them to stay where they are.


About Dr. Regina A Lewis, PhD

Dr. Regina Lewis is a consulting partner, international speaker, virtual moderator, and CEO of ReginaSpeaking, LLC. Dr. Lewis has presented trainings and inspirational talks around the topic of poverty and the under-resourced as an executive trainer for Bridges Out of Poverty and keynote of her own personal story From Poverty to PhD. She has worked with clientele executives, groups, and organizations, including State, City, and County Department of Human Services, Organizations, City comprehensive training, Construction and Utility Companies, Colorado School Districts, State Judicial Districts, and Conferences. She has also worked with clients internationally in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Hong Kong, China, Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Brazil. Dr. Lewis has presented her highly rated programs in leadership, cultural competency, strategic planning, executive speaking, interpersonal and intercultural communication, and entrepreneurship. As a war veteran who honorably served the United States Air Force, Dr. Lewis is Professor Emerita, Department Chair Retired from Pikes Peak State College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and an executive coach. Her publications include books, refereed journals, and educational textbooks.
